1. Folding
Folding is a very popular expression technique for women's clothing products. Folding, such as the feminine charm and mystery, brings a different design style to the hot topic bags design. Usually, the wrinkles can be formed either by grouping threads or by folding edges.

In the design shown in Figure 6-58, first design the fold shape boundary line, and then group lines on the boundary line to form the basic shape of the fold. The sewing thread used for thread assembly has elasticity, or is sewn with thin elastic bands, so that irregular folds are formed on the material through the shrinkage of the elastic thread bands, so that the surface of the material forms a pattern of unevenness, and the feeling of loose foam is very obvious. There is no fixed position at both ends of this fold, and it can vary with the number of items in the bag.

The bag design shown in Figure 6-59 also has obvious wrinkles. One end of this wrinkle is fixed by a splicing seam, and the other end is a free end. Usually such folds are controlled by the amount of folding. And because one end is fixed, only the middle and the other end of the folds are variable. There is not much change in the former fold, but it also has its own variation characteristics. The resulting folds can be large or small, and can be large folds. It can also be fine folds with small folds. It can be either regular folds or irregular folds. The bag design shown in Figure 6-60 is a form of edge folds, one end is fixed with the folding amount,

2. Piece together
Combine the same or different materials with small pieces or strips of various shapes to form a relationship between the materials such as stitching, stitching, stacking, and covering, creating various levels of contrast, texture contrast, and stitching unevenness effect. Use a variety of different colors, different patterns, and different texture materials to splice into regular or irregular patterns to make bags, forming a unique decorative effect. This kind of splicing can be flat splicing, or intentionally concave or convex at the seams. Some large travel backpacks use this piece together. The fabric is fixed after being folded or wrinkled to form regular or irregular folds and wrinkles, which also play a better decorative role. As shown in Figure 6-61.and the other end is the free end of the edge. It can be a single-layer fold edge design or a multi-layer fold edge design.

Combination splicing refers to the pattern form where several pieces of surface are spliced into a pattern to cover the entire luggage. For example: Cut several tetragonal continuous patterns (or colorful fabrics) into small pieces that can be connected at will, and then perform various splicing. Or combine a number of single graphics or monochrome fabrics of different hues according to a certain intention, or combine several two sides in a row and unfold in a loop.

The forms of combined splicing are very diverse, including random and free splicing, regular splicing; horizontal splicing, vertical splicing, and diagonal splicing; large area splicing and small area splicing. Free splicing has a sense of randomness, regular splicing has a sense of stability, continuous splicing of horizontal patterns will elongate the decorative body; continuous splicing of vertical patterns will widen the decorative body; continuous diagonal splicing will produce a lively and stable feeling; large area The splicing has a sense of weight, and the splicing of small areas has a sense of flickering and jumping.

3. Crochet coiling
Crocheting is a decorative pattern design completed with crochet stitches. The crocheted patterns are colorful and have an artistic decorative effect. The bag design shown in Figure 6-62 is to apply crochet in the middle of the fan of the bag, and connect different shapes of segmented blocks together to form different material textures and crochet patterns. The bag design shown in Figure 6-63 is a crocheted decorative pattern formed by crocheting on the edge of the bag, which gives the originally dark bag surface a decorative highlight. Coiling is made of ropes, which are knitted into knots and stitched on the body of the bag, or the ropes are directly coiled into a flower shape on the bag for sewing. This decorative image is slightly raised and has a relief-like effect. The knitting and coiling process is more difficult, and it requires certain skills to make it smooth. The big backpack rarely use it.

4. Weaving
The patterns formed by weaving are also diverse. Both the same color strips can be used for weaving, and different color strips can also be used for weaving. As shown in Figure 6-64, it is a regular geometric pattern woven from the same color strips. The pattern effect is generous and neat. The bag design shown in Figure 6-65 is a pattern woven with different-color strips. Because the strips used and the main body pink of the bag form a color match, the woven pattern is more clear.

Various patterns woven by woolen threads can become pattern variations of bags. In particular, the pin pattern has a very good three-dimensional effect and a prominent decorative effect. The handbag design as shown in Figure 6-66 is also made by weaving with strips, but in the process of weaving, due to the addition of wrinkles, a new complex visual effect is formed.
